Hail Garden Carnage Report

I've been reporting on our garden harvests.......Last night we were hit by pea to golf ball sized hail.  Unlike last year no major damage to the house.

First the Poppies: The White Prickly Poppies are blooming now;  the Red Flanders Poppies are just about done.  Some broken branches though.

Next the Tomatoes:  some damage, but they will recover.

A few broken branches, but mostly lost leaves.

The Collard greens were largely OK.  This one leaf shows the worst damage.

My larger Daturas are starting to bloom.  Luckily not too many open blossoms yesterday.
The buds were OK.  Smaller plants in the back yard will recover.

Hopefully my Poblano Pepper (below) will recover.......

Out of Range........

I could see downtown Denver from Red Rocks park, but it was just out of range for the little point and shot digital camera, but I liked the effect:

Also could see the Freeway and people making their journey home......

The Remainder.............of Last Weekend

Just finishing off my Black and White activities of the past weekend. Saturday we were at the airport. Last Sunday as the weather appeared to clear we hit the road for Pawnee Buttes inspired by our friends at Colorado Lifestyles. But I found the storm clouds and wind farm in the distance much more interesting than the Buttes.

I came across an interesting musing on one of the blogs that I follow regarding buying and enjoying that old manual camera. Since yesterday's discussion focussed on manual cameras and Black and White, I have decided to share that other link with you, from the Visual Science Lab.

Film: Ilford ISO 100
Camera: Mamiya 645 Pro TL
