11.  What made you first pick up Ilford Film and start shooting with it?



12.  Best find at a second hand or charity store:  Purchased from Goodwill online.....

13. Do you frame and hang your own work at home? Yes, but oddly I really haven't photographed my home gallery.  Just this one photo from Ash Wednesday......

14. Have you tried CineStill Film?  No, but I have some in my film fridge.  Just haven't had the interest.  When Kodak E110G makes it's return at the end of the year, I'll probably give it away!

15. Were do you buy your film stock?  Freestyle Photo Supplies in L.A.

Saturdays Online: Remember the Filter Factor .........

Some how it had escaped me that Rangefinders DO NOT meter through the lens that is making the image.  So I had some exposure problems using my darker filters.  SO today I am doing Filter Factor Exposure Tests for the Mamiya-6, Mamiya-7 and Canonet:

So I invite you to now pick your poison!  Which Rangefinder would you start with?  Here are some Suggestions for Starter Cameras.........

Saturdays Online: Getting Ready for World Wide Pinhole Day

Getting Ready for April 26th Worldwide Pinhole Day.

We just got an Ilford Camera Obscura to take out for WWPH Day.  Shoots 4X5 paper or film.  But you need to carry a changing bag if you want to do multiple shots.

And there are many inexpensive options like the Pinhole Paint cans:

But maybe this is a bit extreme, and I don't recommend it.  Surprising the response he did (or rather didn't) get.

Saturdays Online: Another Reflection on Legacy

Posting another Reflection on theLegacy of a Landscape Photographer: Clyde Butcher, who in addition to being a fabulous photographer, has worked through his photography to protect and preserve the Everglades and other natural areas in Florida.

There's a KickStarter going to produce a film about Clyde's life and work.  Let's honor him while he's still with us and can enjoy it!

Saturdays Online: Film Saved by the Under 35 Crowd.........

And also the plastic camera craze has helped!  More power to them, as PetPixel explains an Ilford Survey found that the Under 35 Crowd is going photo retro.  And Still More Power to them!

And speaking of Plastic cameras. I used to do quite a bit of Holga.  It introduced me to medium format and I've just kept going from there.  Mostly now I use my Holga Pinhole, but recently I've literally dusted off my Holga and started shooting again.

And films are being reborn everyday, e.g., at Film Ferrania.
