Solargraphy: What Went Wrong?

So I had to take down my rooftop SolarCan, because we are getting a new roof installed.

Here, the installation photos from March 2018.

But this was the result?

It seems to have failed badly, in the past I've had so-so results.

So I have 3 still deployed and one left to put outside.
I don't think we'll go on the rooftop again.

Starting the Ilford Party

If you were following the #filmjune updates..........There was a final twist.  They picked two winners who were presented with lots of Ilford Film.  So I've loaded up my classic Mamiya 645 1000s and we are ready for the Ilford Film Summer Party!

Look for updates coming soon.......

More From the Garden

It's time to start giving some of the bounty away........I can only eat so much summer squash.  Obviously easy to grow.

Now for some tomatoes and I can make my annual Ratatouille.

Mission Santa Ynez

As I busy myself shooting for Holga Week, let take a look at more Infrared Experiments from my recent trip to Santa Barbara, California.  At Santa Inez Mission:

This being an active Parish Church, I waited for the Sunday Afternoon Service
to finish before touring.

Also, I am still tagging Churches as 'Faith on Film' even if some are digital.  Keeps all of my Church Images in a neat searchable package.

Maybe I've done enough of these digital IR images not to call them experiments anymore.  But more experiments with film are coming soon.

First Harvest

My Garden is off to a slow start this year, so no posts until today.  My First Harvest.  We sliced and grilled the large Zucchini Friday.  The rest went into my Sunday Spaghetti Sauce.

HearseCon, Farewell Until Next Year!

I hope you approached this with a Sense of Humor.  Even many of the participants take a 'tongue in cheek' perspective.  But some are quite serious too!

And quite appropriate to end on Friday the 13th!

HearseCon Odds and Ends

An interesting idea to build a grill that looks like a coffin:

And snarky signs always work for me!

HearseCon Skeletal Guests

I always love this little Dog.  Didn't get such a great photo of him last year.
And Flowers are always nice!

Two Views of the same Guest....Complete with Pets

This one showing a bit of a light leak (fat roll) and a little out of focus.
But somehow it suits the theme.

Final Catch-up #5 #filmjune

Final Posts Summary the Twitter #filmjune series

26. Dream Camera and Ilford Film Collaboration:
My Dream Camera: Any Rollei 6000-Series Medium Format SLR in collaboration with Ilford SFX-200 Film.

Here's a review of the camera: https://www.casualphotophile.com/2017/10/06/rollei-6008-professional-medium-format-slr-camera-review/

27.  Have you ever used Zone focusing?
I have used zone focusing, especially in street photography.  But also using it as I test my Mercury camera.  Still learning to use the focusing screen, so sometimes I just go with my estimated distances.

28. Are you a fine grained photographer, or the more grain the better?
I'm a fine grain photographer.  That's why I've never liked HP5 or Tri-X.  The grain just doesn't appeal to me.

29. Have you bought a camera that has been on your wish list?
Yes, I always wanted a Press Camera.  But I didn't have to buy it, our neighbor gave us his Burke and James Press Camera!

30. Have You taught anyone film photography?
No, but I did bring my Husband back from the digital abyss and into the 'Light' of Film Photography again. The last time he picked up his DSLR the dates on the images showed that he hadn't used it in months.  He now favors his Mamiya 6 and Intrepid 4X5.  Saving the analogue world one person at a time!
