CarHenge Art Reserve Part II

We wrap up the month with more from the CarHenge Art Reserve:

Some "Wildlife" can be found in an installation directly behind the Henge.

Above, a Spawning Salmon and Below a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

In the background, a Dedication to the (hoped for) demise of the Foreign car on our roads.

A little too close to MAGA for Me!

And so we end the Month of February here.  But Americana continues into March.

CarHenge Art Reserve Part I

So I was expecting CarHenge to be really kitschy.  But it wasn't!  Surprisingly Photogenic.  And there's more.  Continuing the story, it has become a Sculpture Garden for artwork made from car parts.

We leave CarHenge and walk up the hill to the main installation.

Some of these have been cropped, and I generally removed my shadow.  

But this one lined up so well that I kept it in the composition.

Revisiting the Real Stonehenge

Really terrible images from my 1990 visit to Stonehenge.  But you get what you get at the moment.  It was a once in a lifetime opportunity as I was living in Bristol for 6 months.

It was dark and  windswept as the Salisbury Plain often is.

I really ventured to Salisbury to see the Cathedral.  But once there decided that I might as well take in Stonehenge too.

We will see more sights around Carhenge in the next post.

Getting Back to Americana.....At Carhenge

Yes I still have un-posted images from my November road trip through South Dakota and Nebraska.

I lost a bit of momentum with recent events and the abrupt end to my 52 Rolls Project.  But we're up and running again.

So let's get back to Alliance, Nebraska.  You will remember we viewed the 2017 Eclipse from here.  But with the crowds, we were unable to visit One of the Major Local Sights.....

So here we go CARHENGE!
