Ending a Week of Remembrance........

With a Poppy of Flanders from my garden this past summer. The symbol of Remembrance of WWI in Europe.

  1. The tradition over here in the UK in November is to buy a 'poppy' head from the British Legion people who collect for the veteran associations. It's a big thing, everyone wears one, from the Queen on down. Been that way since the 1920s.
