My Father Always Remembered the Children

Father and his friends with two Italian Children and a not too happy sheep.

In all of the times he told us stories about Italy, he always remembered meeting the children.

  1. Italy was pretty dirt-poor in those days, the US soldiers must have seemed like rich men to these kids.

  2. All these pictures are so much more interesting than the history-books, with the generals. Thank you!

  3. I'm so happy with the response to these photos. I wasn't sure people would be interested.

John asked in another post about preserving these. I actually have started what I call the "Family Project". I picked up the idea from one of my photo instructors. I've reproduced some in cyanotypes and van dykes. Click on 'Father' in my Posting Topics list to see earlier ones.
