This BlogSpot is Taking a Hiatus.......

This Blog will be going into the Archives.  My Photographic interests have evolved and I now have a Fine Art Photography page with a very similar name.  I think it must be confusing to some of my Twitter folks when I post from both sites.  And I will be reposting some of my best work from here over there.........

My Life and Times Page will now be at Longs Peak Journal.  My husband and I had started that some time ago with the intent of have a Daily Photo Blog.  That didn't quite happen, although you will find post there documenting our Intense 2019 Journey.  And now after giving Longs Peak a rest for a year, I've basically decided that we only need one active Blogspot site.  So please join us at Longs Peak Journal..........#WednesdayWindows and #CameraChallenge from Twitter will continue on that site.

And I leave you with Equinox on my Stonehenge Fireplace.

Easter Snow Update.......

Our Snow from Easter....and it's still snowing today.  The Pasque Flowers are under the planter's that we've used as covers.

Supporting our Farmer's Market

Saturday I picked up my first Farmer's Market Order.  They had started the week before, soI decided to try it for Easter.  I wanted to support our local organic farmers, and it was a great deal.  I think I'll place an order at least every other week, and support them through the summer if necessary.  ha Basic Bag was $25 and here's what we got:

Happy Easter Monday!

Travelling SuperZoom wants to Continue the Journey

I received the Olympus Superzoom 105G from my @EMULSIVE Secret Santa.  And it turns out that the Camera had a Story to tell:

Here is a summary from my introductory letter pictured below:

"....This camera has a bit of a history in that it's spent the last few month travelling the length and breadth of  of the United Kingdom (and even got to the south of France on one leg of it's journey) as a part of a project on an online photography forum. The camera was loaded with a roll of film, the first person shot five frames, and then the camera was sent on to the next person.  The process repeated (with a half-way set of photos when a second roll of film was loaded) until it eventually got back to me.........."

So If you are interested in continuing the Journey, Contact me.......

Wednesday Windows......Getting Started with a New Series

#WednesdayWindows

I follow the Thursday Doors posting on Twitter and Wordpress.  But I am more of a Window person and I found a Wednesday Windows Twitter Group.  So I'm picking this up as a new posting series.

My Take on Windows may be a bit different from the usual postings by the group.  But let's go!

I'll start with a Favorite Window from the Past........

Final Scenes Around Santa Catalina Island: Part I

We start with the Casino, where you can take Ghost Tours.  Something that I will try to do on my next visit.  The word 'casino' means gathering place, not the gambling we typically think of.  So there was never gambling.  It is a Theater and Event Center, and always has been.

Catalina Island Menagerie

Lots or Birds, Fish and seasonally Whales and Seals.  But on land you'll be fortunate to see the local Foxes (which climb trees) and the Bison that were introduced in the early 1900's.  I highly recommend taking the Catalina Island Conservancy Tour.

We were lucky to see the Foxes before they went climbing:

You'll remember the critter proof trash containers that featured the Foxes:

And the Bison, originally brought there for a movie I believe:
