Best Crop?

My husband thought this would make an interesting color photo with  the flowers and the stream:

 Lake Marie  & Snowy Range, Wyoming.

But there's a lot going on here and it needs a crop.  Below are two takes on cropping this Image:


Crop 1 keeps the stream and flowers; eliminates the tripod and asphalt.


Crop 2, eliminates the stream because I didn't get the satin effect I wanted (exposure too short), but here the asphalt path is distracting.

Which would you vote for?

  1. I'd go for something between the two. Crop in from the left to cut out the path, and crop in from the right to take out all the tall trees, especially the lone scraggily one. Bring down the the top a bit, and push up the bottom to cut out about half of the falls.
