Took a week off from the hectic 'business' of posting on two blogs. All of these images will be cross posted with the 52 Rolls Project, so there is no link to that page.
Starting now with the Results of our Montana Workshop, with a little sunrise fog at Van Lake:

Garnet, Montana: Mining Flotsam & Jetsam
Wrapping up our B&W visit to Garnet Montana with odds and ends that I'l calling "Flotsam & Jetsam".
We start with the Garnet Saloon....not much to see inside, but a nice facade:
Above: an assortment of miner's cabins, which typically only lasted ~5-10 years because they were built without foundations. and Below: I especially liked the tool marks left by the axe on these rough hewn logs.
Typical Mining Flotsam scattered around the town
And yes, a fire hydrant, because many ghost towns have fallen victim to fires. Some building at Garnet too. But planning ahead, installing a fire hydrant and well insures preservation.

The Garnet Hotel
Back to images made on our Journey through Montana. We now visit the Garnet Hotel. A really substantial building for a mining town, and an indicator of Prosperity:
Above: main entrance and stairs. In all my B&W (5 rolls total) I did not make an image of the Hotel Facade. But I had taken a color 35mm the day before:
Inside, the Dining Room stove for warmth:
Below: another view of the Dining Room:
Above: The Hotel Kitchen
Here, two views of typical Guest Rooms.
Miners that didn't have their own cabins could stay in Attic Quarters at the Hotel. The outlines on the floor show the extent of each miner's 'cubicle'. There were originally walls separating their spaces.
Above, a private room in the Attic Space.
Detail of Attic Window.

52 Rolls Week #26: Odds and Ends around the house.
Wrapping up my experience with color film on this project. I have no idea why, but its not winding properly in any of the Holgas. This results in light leaks when I remove the film from the camera. o such problem with B&W film. So if you have any suggestions let me know.
We'll take a first look at my Yucca Baccata, that finally bloomed this year (it's ~ 10 years old now):
