My Last 52 Rolls Post of the Year: Weeks #49 & #50
Keeping in mind that I am running 2 weeks behind I will be finishing up the 52 Rolls assignment in 2017 and overlapping, therefore, with next year's round of work.
From Week #49, we test a Canon QL (vintage 1960's) Camera purchased online from Goodwill (yes, THAT Goodwill!):

Happy Boxing Day!
It was a quiet Christmas......But still lot's of wonderful photography gifts:
A very insightful book. If George Eastman were still alive, Kodak may have survived the digital onslaught. He was definitely an Innovator in Manufacturing.
Posting a year end wrap up by the end of the week. And Next week our usual plans for 2017.

It's a Weekend with Handel.......
I've been away from the blog for a while. Taking a break from social media and gearing up for this weekend with three performances:
Celebrating 34 years and one of the best Sing Along events in the Nation!
This is my 3rd year in the Chorus ( we sing so the audience doesn't feel pressured to perform).
The group is a lot of fun and the story behind it is very inspirational.

Remembering A Friend
A good friend of mine, "MY BEST WORK BUDDY" passed away yesterday after a 1 year+ battle with cancer. I won't mention his name because he was a very private person. But I'm taking a day of reflection and I'm posting two symbolic flowers.
First a New Guinea Impatiens, that has limped along under my sometimes less than vigilant care. My friend gave me this flower. And this week, as his life wound down, this fragile flower bloomed yet again.
And typically...white flowers symbolize death. Below a Sacred Datura from my garden:

This Blog will go dark until after the funeral. So I'll be back sometime next week.

52 Rolls Week #45
Starting to wind things up for this year's project. Only 7 more weeks to the end. I do plan on continuing next year and will discuss that more in my Photography New Year's Resolutions. So expect more cross posting in 2017.
Here I continue to work with my Personal Vision themes. I wanted to tie some modern architecture in to my Ascension Theme. See if you think could these fit:

52 Rolls Week #44
This week some architectural photos from a friend's Church: St Ambrose.
The skylight and 3-D Cross create a nice dome effect that I want to work with more in the future:

Personal Vision: Making Some Choices
I've referred to the workshop I'm taking right now in previous posts. Now I'm making some decisions regarding final book/portfolio selections.
I have three versions of Ladders that I'd like to use in my final collection:
I have three versions of Ladders that I'd like to use in my final collection:
First the Original Photoshop conversion to B&W. It's a bit out of
focus so I tried some filtering effects to compensate:
Above: Photoshop Smudge Stick Filter.
Below: Photoshop Ink Outline Filter.
I'm leaning towards the Ink Outline.......What do you think?

Ute Mountain Park: Lion Canyon
Two "views" of Lion Canyon, named for Mountain Lions that were found living in one of the cliff dwellings. The only real difference is some Photoshop Fun removing my husband from the image. I'm working o a photo project that needs to be 'people free' and I wanted to include this image.

Back to Ute Mountain.......
First, the actual Ute Mountain that the Reservation is named for.
And some decisions about this blog......I've started a new "Fine Art Photography", but will continue to post here as a sort of Photographic Diary........

Ute Mountain Tribal Park: The Ancient Ones
The Ute Tribe in Colorado (more properly the Weminuche People) have many Spectacular Cliff Dwellings on their reservation. Accessible only by arranged Guided Tours. We visited there last week with Our Photography Club......
The first location we visited was Porcupine Canyon:

Step House @ Mesa Verde
First the Ruins of the Steps that this Cliff Dwelling is named for:
Kiva @ Step House:
Ladder @ Step House:
These are B&W conversions of digital images. I've optimized them for Printing (in case they seem a bit dark). These are candidates for my Personal Vision Project........Comments Appreciated.

Pipe Shrine House @ Mesa Verde
We made a recent trip to Mesa Verde with our Photography Club (UWPC). Lot's of time to think on the road out there and back. So I've decided to keep this Blog as my photo diary, and post my Personal Vision Journey on Word Press.

52 Rolls: Week 39:52
Nokhu Crags West of Cameron Pass:
I was experimenting with Ilford SFX-200 IR Sensitive film using an IR 695 Filter (which lets in some visible light). I'm liking this much better than SFX experiments using the darkest red filter. I only used a filter factor of +2 here, so next time I'll try +3.
See more from Week #39.

52 Rolls Week 38:52
Film Test and chasing Fall across Colorado. We find ourselves at Boreas Pass, a place we've been before.
First we revisit the Baker Water Tank taken in 2011 with my last 120 roll of Kodak 100GX:
Next an image from this year taken with Fuji Velvia 50:
And a comparison to Fujicolor Pro 400H:
Yu can see why I preferred Kodak E100GX to Velvia 50....It has better true color rendering. The Velvia 50 image would need more manipulation.
See the Current Film Test Results Here.
