Saturdays Online: Another Photographer............

The sad story of another photographer shooting themselves in the foot.  I'll let you read it and decide for yourself if this wedding photographer is helping their reputation or not.

    Ouch! That is one expensive and over priced wedding shoot. At least for the markets I worked.
    In any case if it is not in the contract it comes with an extra price. The customer(s) have a responsibility also to tell the photographer what they wand and expect when they hire the photographer. I've always done any shoot as a package and included all items as a list. Album covers are a good way to increase sales and create good relationships with a customer as most have about a 300% to 500% mark-up unless supply and pricing have drastically changed in the past 10 years since I've done weddings.

    I think the problem is that wedding shoots are getting really expensive. So people don't want to pay for extras. But you are correct, If it is not in the contract, it is not part of the deal. And if you can afford $6000 for a wedding shoot, what's a few hundred more? You've already spent a ridiculous amount of money, especially if the cost of the photography is in proportion to the total wedding expenses.
