Travels and Tennis Hiatus.........

My long-time followers know that when a Grand Slam is on, the Blog can go dark........The Australian Open is over, so so more big breaks until the French Open.

I was also traveling for my Mom's 90th Birthday Party In St Petersburg, Florida:

Sunshine Skyway Bridge across the mouth of Tampa Bay, from Fort DeSoto Park, Pinellas County, Florida.

Some of you may remember the Summit Venture Tragedy May 9, 1971 that destroyed part of the original skyway bridge.  On the positive side, the approaches to that bridge became the world's largest fishing piers.......Also a great place to photograph sea birds.

  1. That is one really nice bridge. I've been there. There is another one nearly identical in Virginia. I hope you enjoyed your trip.

  2. Very nice. We have a bridge of similar design in the Houston area, but I do not think it is as long. Also, I have expanded the Minolta collection to include an SRT-102. So far I am impressed by how quiet the shutter is to be of mechanical operation. Much quieter than my Pentax K1000. Have a wonderful evening.

  3. I also have an SRT-102 which is my go to B&W camera. VEry dependable. I got an SRT-101 because it was supposed to be the best of the series, but For whatever reason I like the 102 better........
