Love the graceful dance of those wind turbines. They've got hundreds of them in the mid-west. Problem is the amount of birds that get killed by the rotors.
True, but they are testing mitigation options at NREL among other things. One option it not having lights on the windmills (which attract birds), instead placing lights on towers in between the windmills, hoping to guide them away. I think that ferral cats actually do more damage to bid populations.
