More Photo Merge

Three merged 35 mm images. I kind of like the zig-zag effect caused by not using a tripod..........

Kalimar Wide-X Results

Nothing fancy. I did not want to take a photo of anything important because the camera might not have worked.  I do need to keep experimenting with it, and should try to track down a manual.  So here goes nothing:

I did have to add significant contrast to the images; since this camera does not allow for the use of contrast filters.  The originals are very low contrast.
Note chair distortion; cameras was not level...............

Note that I feature prominently as a shadow.....I'll have to work on that.............

To refresh your memory of the Kalimar Wide-X.

Next Film Test: Fuji Velvia 50 vs. Kodak E100VS, Medium Format 120

Because of the uncertainty of Kodak's future and the recent announcement that they will discontinue E-6 Film, it is obviuosly time to run another film test.  I prefer color transparency film to print film.  So Here we go:

Fuji Velvia 50 vs. Kodak E100VS, medium format (120).  I have chosen medium format, because ISO 50 requires a tripod under most circumstances.  It's doubtful that I would really be inclined to carry a tripod around for my 35mm.  Kind of defeats the purpose of traveling light........So in the near future expect a Fuji Provia 100/400 test against the now extinct E100VS (you can still buy it, but the price has gone up significantly).

As the spring flowers bloom the tests will proceed.

Sundays Overseas: Happy Easter!

This time a bit of a twist.  You tell me where this is, AND what is the historic significance (hint: what happened that made someone put a Cross here?).

The answer next week.
